Business NSW recently hosted its prestigious Business NSW Awards, often dubbed the “Academy Awards of Business”, at Sydney’s International Convention Centre. This event celebrates the remarkable achievements of businesses across the state, many of which are also proud members of the My Business community. The awards recognise business excellence and demonstrate the resilience and innovation that define NSW businesses.
Premier Chris Minns, Small Business Minister Steve Kamper, and Opposition Leader Mark Speakman joined leaders from across NSW’s diverse industry sectors, from wineries to visual effects studios, to honour businesses that are thriving despite rising costs, staff shortages, and high interest rates.
Award Winners: Recognising Excellence Across NSW
This year, Whitely Manufacturing Facility in Tomago took home the coveted title of Business of the Year and was also recognised for Excellence in International Business. They have been a member of Business NSW for more than 50 years.
Other standout winners included:
- Cumulus Visual Effects in Ballina for Excellence in Large Business
- Ladbroken Distilling Co in Tumbarumba for Excellence in Micro Business
- SAPHI Engineering in Mayfield West for Excellence in Small Business
Daniel Hunter, CEO of Business NSW, commended these businesses for their perseverance. “In the face of adversity, our finalists have demonstrated that resilience and innovation go hand in hand,” he said. “The Business NSW Awards really are the Oscars of Business, so it’s only fitting that the best of the best in business get to stroll the red carpet.”
